Skenfrith Village and community supports two international aid agencies BUSOGA Trust and SOCADIDO (Soroti Catholic Diocese Integrated Development Organisation).
Frances David and Kath Hesketh provide the local focus for this support. Both regularly visit projects in Uganda and report back on progress ensuring local ‘ownership’ of the initiatives.
The BUSOGA Trust provides safe, clean water for rural communities in Busoga and Luweero, Uganda. Since it was founded in 1982, the Trust has installed over a thousand wells, boreholes or protected springs. This has greatly reduced the mortality rate from drinking water from polluted sources.

By the beginning of 2007, Skenfrith has raised money for three wells (£3000) and almost enough for a fourth well. In addition, several local residents have donated wells.
